Dakota (he/him) studied behavior neuroscience at the University of North Florida, followed by earning a masters of medical sciences at Brown University. His past experience includes conducting human-subject research probing the neural impact of meditation at his undergraduate institution in the Hooper lab, and studying inner-hair cell regeneration (or deafness reversal) in mice at the University of Michigan in the Raphael lab. Currently, in the Marlin lab, Dakota focuses on the relationship between epigenetic inheritance and the Bronfenbrenner theory of human development, as well as the social implications therein.

Outside the lab, Dakota enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with friends and family, and being creative!
